Bday!

Let me establish the fact that the partner is not a mall-goer. He rarely watches movies in cinemas. And he doesn't like high-priced food items on the menu of a fancy restaurant.

Ako lang yata kumakaladkad sa kanya sa mall. Naalala ko ang pinta ng mukha nya dati pag nakikita nya ang mga presyo sa menu at sa kasimple simpleng brip na nabili ko. Pero nasanay na yata sya sa mga kaartehan ko. Isang beses dumaan kami sa mga fine dining restos sa gilid ng Greenbelt 5 at nasabi kong gusto kong itry kumain sa mga ganun. o di ba, social climber na social climber lang? hahaha!

lahat naman ng mga kababawang pelikula na gusto ko eh pinapaunlakan nya naman nang lubos kahit madismaya sya sa kababawan ng pelikula. LOL.

yesterday, he filled half of our day with mall activities! for my birthday. hahaha! dahil sa pamimilit ko sa kanya na manuod ng In The Name of Love ay kasama na rin sya sa aming itinerary for the day. natuwa ako at nagustuhan namin pareho ang movie. muntik na akong umiyak. sya naman ay halos nakatalukbong na sa kanyang jacket. hehe. kyot.

surprise pala 'to kaya di ko alam ang mga plano nya. sobrang saya ko nung nagsimba kami sa church sa Greenbelt. sobrang tagal ko nang di nakakapagsimba dahil usually pumapasok ako sa office the last few Sundays para mag-overtime. very timely din dahil birthday ko at marami akong pinagpapasalamat. :)

after the mass, we headed to Greenbelt 5 and he said, "remember when you said you wanted to try dining in these restaurants? well today's the day." (not verbatim) NKKLK! kaya pala pinasuot nya ako ng polo. mukha yata kasi akong gusgusin pag everyday look ko lang. lols.

at syempre hello? english mode nako sa mga waitresses.. "erm, excush meh, can i take a look at your menu?" ooooooohhhhhh shalaaaaaaaa! inisa-isa namin ang mga restaurants para matignan kung alin ang magandang kainan bilang minsan lang ito sa buhay. chos! agaw eksena ang Baked Oyster Florentine na nakita ko sa menu kaya dito na kami nag-gow for gold!

Promise ang shunga ko lang sa mga utensils. Pano ba kasi walang kutsara. dalawang tinidor at dalawang knives. So ano ba to? Hihiwa lang ba kami nang hihiwa? walang pagsubo ng kanin na magaganap? Ano 'to? Paki-explain.

Ganyang ganyan ang reaction ko. Pero syempre hindi ko na yun pinahalata sa mga waiters bilang social climber nga ako di buh? So ako naman tiis ganda lang kunwari poised na poised. Ang mga ibang tables naman, hello, mga executives ingles nang ingles! at may mga madam na madam na pwedeng jowain para sa kanyang yaman! chos!

Baked Oyster Florentine

This one tastes good especially the burnt part of the cheese. The oyster itself tastes kinda bland though. Baked scallops in Dampa tastes better, in my opinion.

Grilled Chicken

Their grilled chicken tastes really good. Don't be fooled by the small serving because it can definitely make you super full!

Seared Ahi Tuna

I've had other Tuna dishes before and what I don't like is the malansa taste of it. But Zuni's Seared Ahi Tuna is deeeeee-lish! Their veggies are equally delicious, I ate all of them!!! :D What you see on top of the tuna are mangoes and tomatoes. Super sarap!

I googled Zuni when I got home and we were so lucky to pick one of the best restaurants in GB5. This place is a must-try and the price is not THAT expensive. I'd even say it's affordable. :D

Our night ended with a stroll along the streets of Makati with our favorite KFC crushers. This was definitely one of the best birthdays ever! :D :D :D Thank you Baabaa! I love you! :)
