For two years in a row, I've seen how the area around DLSU is during bar exams. Law schools from all over the country come over to support. Taft is blocked from Vito Cruz to Quirino Avenue. Family and friends patiently wait at McDo and other nearby establishments while the examinees take another step closer to realizing their dreams.
September 26, 2010, a year after Ondoy struck and devastated the entire metro, instead of being in a celebratory mood, the bar examinations ended with an explosion, allegedly a grenade that was thrown into a crowd. Police reports say that this roots from warring fraternities. Two of the victims, both law students, had their limbs amputated due to the extent of the injury they got from the blast.
I don't know how fraternities work and what their "brotherhood" causes are, but this is too much. I wasn't part of any frat in college because for one, it's illegal in DLSU, and i was too weak to join in such organizations. i would've been the first to die in a hazing initiation. hehe.
Anyway, 40+ innocent victims were injured and for all we know, none of them were from any of those fraternities at war. Come on, spare the innocent ones. Tondo gang wars mostly happen at night, or so i heard. At least they have the decency to strike when streets are (almost) empty. LOL.

PS: and oh, I wasn't in any way nearby DLSU in this year's bar exam. Thank God, He didn't make it 3 years in a row. *phew*

mugen: kaklaro ko lang. di ako law student. isa akong lost student. LOL. nagkataon lang na 2 years in a row, naaabutan ko ang bar exam habang tumatambay malapit sa lasal. hehe.
